Well Julio did too. They're just not going up there with an attack plan that makes any sense. When you're panic swinging at 88 above the zone, this is clear. He throws meatballs until you're at 2 strikes, then they chase because they panic. It's a bad approach and that reflects on the coaching.
Good point. Honestly it doesn't seem as if they're prepared to hit against a pitcher like this.

There you go Wink! Treated it like a slow pitch softball. Sat back and turned quick instead of bailing early

Munoz must have the worst slider in all of Major League Baseball.

It doesn’t have any break or movement on it whatsoever, it just spins and floats into the strike zone.

That dude just crushed it into somebody’s margarita in Edgar‘s Cantina.

Agree

We have eight total strikeouts between our top 5 in the lineup.

Skunk head has three of them.

I have no clue what kind of pitch he is looking for tonite. because he’s just watched some cookies thrown right across the plate and doesn’t seem interested in swinging at them.

I just don’t get it?

I get the fact he strikes out a lot, but Jesus Christ swing the bat when the pitcher throws a hit-able pitch across the heart of the plate.

What a bunch of sad sacks tonight. They need a skipper that kicks ass instead of kissing ass. I wonder how things would be going if the M's had a manager that knew what the F he was doing. Dipoto's little buddy just ain't cutting it. Oh hell, it all just falls back on the ownership IMO. Looking to be another ho hum season for Seattle. I wonder how many fans have moved on to greener pastures after 20+ some years of "maybe next year". They do just enough to keep ya hooked and keep the hopes alive. :suds:

So about that revenge we intended for losing the 4 game sweep in Boston...

And skunk head with the golden sombrero.

All those called strikes he just watched without swinging all night and he swings at two pitches that were a foot off the plate in the most critical at bat of the night.

His head was somewhere else all night long.

And that’s the ball game Frazer lines out to end the game.

I watched every pitch every at bat of that entire game.

Totally depressing.

Julio just had an off night I don’t know why he wouldn’t have tried bunting for a hit in the 9th with France at first and nobody out ? Its possible he bunts safely for a base hit, Or worst case scenario sacrifices him to second.

Sometimes as a manager you gotta think outside the box to put a play on that they’re not expecting just to try to make something happen to try and win a ball game.

I didn't expect much from this home stand. Not expecting to win any of the series, even against the struggling A's.

From stud back to dud

Mariners designated RHP Drew Steckenrider for assignment.

Steckenrider has been chopped from the Mariners' 40-man roster to make room for infielder Kevin Padlo, who was claimed off waivers from the Giants. The 31-year-old righty posted a lackluster 5.65 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 10/5 K/BB ratio across 14 1/3 innings (16 appearances) this season in the majors. There's a chance another organization desperate for relief depth gobbles him up off waivers in the next few days.

Mariners claimed INF Kevin Padlo off waivers from the Giants.

Padlo fell victim to a numbers crunch earlier this week with the Giants, but will get a new opportunity in Seattle moving forward. The 25-year-old infielder, who was with the Mariners last year, has appeared in four games this season at the big-league level.

I remember the days when each game would have at least 2 or 3 pages of posts; This post is number 6 tonight. Something just ain't right with this organization anymore. :L
