Don't mean to come across negative, but I'm not missing Seager at all.

I was super done with him, a COUPLE years ago. I was one of the few saying Felix should've been traded when I moved to Chicago in 2013... and was boo'd by several off this forum and others. Yah... since that worked out...

Yea Felix should have been traded, not because he fell off as hard as he did, because no one can really predict that with how good he was. But when the Mariners were as bad as they were you need to trade Felix for all you can

Really? I thought it was a consensus we love Felix but what was best for the franchise would’ve been to trade him.

Definitely a fluff piece, and I wouldn’t question anybody with their come to Jesus moment and I think we as a people love 2nd chances or whatever but he is a dude I can’t ever root for because of what I feel he did to the organization. Plus on a side note, I hated that my HS coach put him up on a pedestal and made us feel like shit that we didn’t show up at 5 am to hit in the cages or stay until midnight hitting in the cages like ARod did.

Well that sucked. Oh well too early to panic. Hopefully the Mariners can take the series.

I'd take Kelenic, that trade is gonna pay off eventually in a big way, I think ...

That's just ridiculous on his behalf.

I understand a coach wanting players to work hard to improve, but such excesses aren't necessary for some average high school player who is unlikely to ever have a serious future in the sport.

Didn't read, wont read, for the simple fact he's a damn liar. Everything out of his mouth you can't trust!
He lied about hometown discount him and Boras were clearly out to get the biggest payday in MLB history and they got it.

It's a decent read. Not trying to convince you to read it, it didn't change my opinion on him, but it was interesting at least.

I think Jarred Kelenic will be a star. It's a very lofty expectation, but I believe Kelenic will eventually be comparable to Grady Sizemore pre-injury. There is also absolutely no point in keeping a closer coming off the best season of his career on a team that doesn't look to seriously contend until 2021.

I got into an argument with one of my friends about it as well. He started comparing Diaz to Mariano Riveria. Once he started arguing that the Mariners would win the AL West in 2019 if they didn't make these trades, I just stopped responding. Can't argue with stupidity.

Our offense has started out doing much better than I thought it would. I have a hunch the bullpen is what is going to slam us though IMO. :noidea:

Ha, as I post this Brennan does a 1-2-3 on 8 pitches. :heh:

Don’t recall if I ever see a sequence like that in the 9th by a single player. Yikes. Feel bad for the kid

Eh, looking back on it I actually think he was right. Not in terms of making us pro’s or anything but had we followed his advice we would’ve won the state title. It was just a tidbit that I liked watching ARod in a Mariners uniform that just bugged me then in 2000 the Mariners had a mini brawl with the Yankees and while the Mariners fakes being tough guys against the Yankees ARod just stood at 2B with Jeter talking. He lost me as a fan of his when he was with Seattle, nothing he says now even if heart felt and true he isn’t winning me back or even given him a chance.
