The bullpen is awful, but the rotation isn't that bad. If Marco and LeBlanc can replicate their 2018 seasons, Kikuchi pitches up to his potential and Leake remains consistent, the only glaring hole is the #5 spot and depth.

Man, you've got a different perspective of the rotation than me. I see:

- (1) Hopefully #3
- (1) #3/#4
- (2) #5/Replacements
- $27+ Million

Was wondering this myself for a while. It looked like he dropped off the forums.

No idea, I had been wondering myself. I know he was pretty fed up with the trades during the offseason and him and I got into a bit of an argument and that was the last thing he posted on here. I was actually starting to wonder if he had blocked me.

Hope he's doing alright. I miss his postings on here.

I see Kikuchi and Marco as being #2-3 type guys. LeBlanc and Leake being #3-4 guys and Felix being one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball.

I also think I hold Mike Leake in higher regard than most on here. He has always been incredibly consistent.

I’m not saying the starters are terrible, but they have a bunch of 3rd and 4th starters and with a bad bullpen there is going to be times where Marco, Leake and Leblanc will get yanked early because they struggle and it will be a bullpen game. If they keep up this 8 runs a game average though I don’t think my previous statement really matters.

The entire Red Sox-Mariners series looked like bad college baseball from the heyday of the juiced-up aluminum bat era. The Mariners held on for an ugly 10-8 win Sunday to take three of four, scoring 34 runs in four games as Red Sox starters posted a 13.20 ERA -- the worst through four games in the past 10 years.

I really appreciated this when I saw it. I know you read more comments than comment yourself, but you are always insightful and knowledgeable to all things Mariners. For what it is worth, your question meant the world to me.
