So if you moved there you'd become an Angels fan? Really?

Californians in the valley change their allegiance based on the standings. Right now the Dodgers are very loved. The Angels somehow are ranked high in ticket sales, but actual attendance of their games is considerably lower. How the hell people can afford to buy tickets and not show up? Well that's beyond me.

Banister you can't hurt or ruin Fielder because he is done. Profar is a different story. What are you thinking? Profar does not deserve to be handled the way you are treating him. One of the most talented young players that any manager would die for and you ignore him in place of a useless fat slob that no longer has anything to offer. Unless you are handcuffed by bosses then you are lost in the management world. Don't do this to this kid. He deserves better and Fielder deserves nothing.

Fan runs on to Safeco Field right in the middle of a play
A fan jumped the fence and nearly interfered with a fly ball during Saturday's game between the Mariners and Cardinals

Saturday night in Seattle, the Mariners and Cardinals continued their interleague series with the middle game of their three-game series. The Mariners won Friday's opener on a walk-off homer that cost Trevor Rosenthal his closer's job.

In the middle of the fifth inning Saturday night, Matt Carpenter lifted a high fly ball to left field that Seth Smith was able to run down even though a fan ran onto the field. Smith actually had to change his route slightly to avoid the guy.

To the action footage:

Fan runs on to Safeco Field right in the middle of a play

The out was recorded and the fan was eventually tackled by security and taken off the field. The game continued without incident.

That was pretty wild. That's one of those games I'll never ever ever forget.

Anyway, don't run onto the field, folks. It's not worth getting banned from a ballpark -- or arrested, for that matter -- just to give your friends some cheap laughs.

  • The Rangers inquired about Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright during the offseason, Texas president and GM Jon Daniels told Rob Bradford of WEEI on Saturday. “We asked about him this winter and they did not want to move him,”said Daniels. Wright was out of options and coming off a season in which he threw 72 2/3 innings and recorded a 4.09 ERA, 6.44 K/9, 3.34 BB/9 and 43.2 percent ground-ball rate. Nearly all of those numbers have improved this season, especially the 31-year-old’s ERA – which stands at a sparkling 2.18 through 103 frames. Daniels told Bradford that the Rangers “would have tried harder” to land Wright had they known he would be this successful in 2016.

Interesting, didnt know they had interest in this guy

JD seems to be working on the BP, but I don't want to overpay for the big names. I know he will make the best decision necessary

JD isn't going to give up what they'd want for those two. He's on the hunt for more Dyson/Diekman types.

Miller is controllable, so he'd cost a lot more too

Profar should be playing everyday versus RHPs, I don't mind him sitting versus LHPs, he's been awful

Switch the pitchers and the same holds true for Rua versus LHPs.... though he's been better versus RHPs lately

I'm not making a suggestion, but Elvis sure has repaired his reputation and increased his trade value to date.
