I've come to believe the problem is FO and not so much with Banister. He has been around a long time and just makes no sense to not put the best lineup on the field. I hope I'm right.

Kela (elbow) will throw another bullpen session Sunday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Kela's 20-pitch bullpen session Friday, his first since undergoing surgery to remove a bone spur from his elbow in April, went off without a hitch. He will return to elevated ground for more work Sunday and it would seem he's on track to face live hitters before the intermission.

Sunday's bullpen will be Darvish's first since he landed back on the DL earlier this month. It's a step in the right direction, but he's not expected to be ready for a simulated game for another week or so. Darvish may have his work cut out for him to return before the All-Star break.

Gonzalez will be recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to start Monday's game against the Yankees, Ryan Posner of MLB.com reports.

Gonzalez has spent the duration of the season, to date, at Triple-A, though he's remained in contention to serve as the Rangers' fifth starter. He'll get that chance against New York, though it's unclear if he'll remain in the rotation beyond Monday's game. Gonzalez has been relatively unspectacular for Round Rock this season, posting a 5.15 ERA and 1.39 WHIP across 14 starts (80.1 innings).

Lewis was moved to the 60-day DL on Saturday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Lewis hit the 15-day DL earlier in the week with a strained lat muscle, and he'll now head to the 60-day list to make room for A.J. Griffin on the 40-man roster. Lewis is expected to miss up to two months, and Saturday's move would appear to suggest the Rangers don't believe he'll be back any earlier.

As announced Friday, Griffin will come off the DL to return to the rotation Saturday night after completing a rehab assignment earlier in the week. Griffin, who has not pitched for the Rangers since May 7, is expected to remain in the regular rotation going forward.
