Just curious, do you stay in South Bend, or Chicago.

I've never stayed in South Bend. I stay in Chicago and I have ridden the train to South Bend and also rented a car. Usually leave early in the morning so we can walk around the campus. I got tickets for the USC train last time. All the food and drinks included all the way down and also on the way back. That was fun but only two friends could afford the ticket for that train( I got mine as a gift from an architect friend who is an alum and teaches there) so probably take the train with the regular fans.

Good idea not to stay in SB. Chicago is a lot more fun( and probably cheaper). Never taken the train, might try that some time.

The train is a great way to go. You get to the train station in South bend and take a bus from there to the stadium. Driving back after the game in 2005 I was so spent and tired I had to pull over twice. Swore not to drive anymore.

I thought I'd be reading about Notre Dame getting a five star recruit only to have his grandmother get sick and later him signing with USC or UCLA, but now I know it's about trains. :pound:

Don't you hate the offseason. If it went any longer, I'd be talking about which rest stops had the cleanest bathrooms.

I know all this South Shore discussion is engrossing, but I heard that M. Huerman and M. Deeb are now listed as medical red shirts. Guess our roster situation is finally resolved. I would have thought Baratti would be a medical roster casualty.

ND vs Texas did not win college game day. Bama vs Whisky did. That sucks. I was hoping that we were going to get it. ND has 2 other chances to be part of college game day. All depends on record when these teams play each other. vs Clemson and vs USC.

Meh, I think game day is a distraction anyway. And the format is pretty stale. That said, this move doesn't surprise me for a couple of reasons. First, ESPN has a financial incentive to promote the SEC brand. Two it's hard to bring the crowd out that early for a night game.
