I cant wait to watch Z play. It should be exciting year. Just sucks playing Texas in week 1. Season can be done before it even starts. We 100% need to win that game.

I'm sure I don't need to remind you of some very significant injuries & absence of key players on D last year.My fear is that with a running QB, there is always a chance that any play is his last. With a quality backup, it's less of an issue, with a redshirt freshman and a true freshman as the only backups, every time he hits the ground, I'll be holding my breath. As for the defense, I'm giving VanGorder another shot, but we had a lot of talent to give up the points and yards we did last year. I still say I want Grace back in the middle, because I would love to see Jaylon Smith with his speed on the outside rushing the passer. I love the CB's with Cole Luke and Kivarae Russell, and the D-line. There should be no excuses this year.

We were starting more freshmen that I can ever remember.
I've been waiting for 2015 to get here and have been touting this to be Kelly's strongest team. This year could make him or break him, IMO. I have super high hopes as long as we can stay relatively healthy (unlike last year) and Zaire can stay in one piece.
Yeah but before we got with all those injuries we looked good on D. We get our top CB back and our leader at MLB back. I think the D is going to be really good this year if healthy. No, you definitely don't need to remind me. But I have a lingering fear regarding VanGorder. His last year in college before ND was 2012 at Auburn. That team went 3-9 and 0-8 in the SEC. The next year without VanGorder Auburn went 12-2 and 7-1 in the SEC. (in 2011, before VanGorder they went 8-5) I'm not saying it was VanGorder's fault, but it does make me nervous. I know he did well in his time at Georgia, but sometimes it seems like his defense might be a little too complicated. With our talent it might be better to keep it simple. Hopefully another year in his system will help these guys put it together.

I hope you're right. I got the lottery results back, and I got tickets to all home games, including Boston College. I'm getting excited already.

hard to believe, being a Milwaukee Brewers fan hasn't made waiting any easier either. I have a very positive feeling about this season. Let's cross our fingers .Only 57 days away.
Chase Claypool committed to Notre Dame at the Opening in Oregon. He's rated as a 300 recruit by ESPN and a 4 star. 247sports rate him as a 3 star 89 ranked 331 and 55 at his position. Rivals ranks him 3 star 5.6 (5.8 is a 4 star) #96 at his position. Scout rate him as a 4 star TE ranked 280 nationally and 15 at his position.

This kid might be a steal. Big time Athlete. Not well known because of where he lives. I like this pick up. He can play multiple positions.Chase Claypool committed to Notre Dame at the Opening in Oregon. Kelly loves big receivers. I think our QB's do too.
