BIG TIME PICK UP TODAY…. 4 star OT Eichenberg commits to ND. He is 6-6 and 290LBs. ND beats out OSU. This is a great pick up. Kelly has been doing a great job with the Oline the last 2-3 years now. This class gives us 2 Big time OLmen so far.

Great job Kelly and coaching staff.

Thanks! Jamabo cooling on ND? I know there's been a lot of chatter about the number of RB's we're pursuing, coupled with some rumors about issues with Folston and Bryant (ranging from disciplinary matters to one or both considering leaving). Don't know if its coincidence because I don't know if the rumors are BS. They were both allegedly leaving last year too.

Too bad. Jamabo seems like a RKG. I always hate it when we lose a high character recruit.

This is great news. Eichenberg and Kraemer, both Ohio guys, both committing with us against Urban. That's a big deal. Will be even bigger if we keep them. Rene Belloq is always lurking

Great pick up, last year Notre Dame couldn't seem to beat Ohio State for elite prospects and this year they are doing a much better job.

Now we just have to hold onto them for another nine months.

This is true, I'm not as worried about that with Kraemer or Eichenberg but you have to continue recruiting for sure.

That is the case with any recruit I think these two are fairly safe unlike a guy in Barnett that got an offer from Notre Dame and jump on it because it was his first big offer these guys have made visits and narrowed the process down a little more.

Yeah, but I always sweat it until NSD. I've seen too many walk in my time. :suds:

Unfortunately now we have to sweat it out even after NSD. (sick grandmothers).

The 2016 ESPN300 came out today the first ranking anyway. Eichenberg is the highest rated at an 85 4 star #56 overall #5 at his position. Tommy Kraemer was next and the lowest I've seen him ranked on any site as an 82 4 star #147 overall #17 at his position. Tony Jones Jr was the final member at an 80 4 star #295 overall #23 at his position. Julian Okwara was rated as an 80 4 star #39 at his position, Julian Love was rated as a 75 3 star #33 Athlete. John Shannon was unranked no surprise as he's a long snapper

From what I've been reading it looks like Josh King and Auston Robertson will be committing to MSU, Notre Dame has slowed down on the recruiting front with several higher profile guys not committing to Notre Dame. Hopefully they can regain momentum with the Irish invasion camp.

Well Notre Dame lost out on both Austin Mack to Ohio State, and Auston Robertson to Michigan State who is kicking our butts in recruiting the Midwest right now. If it weren't for the coaching turnover I would be more along the lines of it's completely unacceptable and it isn't National signing day yet so maybe they can flip one of those guys back or get better players but to lose the best three guys in Indiana to Big Ten schools isn't great.

The Urb and that Natty is gonna attract a lot of recruits.

I do not like Urb - he's a poacher of the highest caliber.

Right now Michigan State has been more of a thorn in Notre Dame's side. Also with Mack Notre Dame took like 4 WR last year and are very deep so it isn't a surprise with that and Ohio State's National Title.

Ben Bredeson picked Michigan over Notre Dame, hopefully the luck will start to turn around soon.

Slow is an understatement, they've done a terrible job recruiting top players in the Midwest this year with the exception of Kraemer and Eichenberg but have missed out on anyone else including to guys in their back yard. Of course the recruiting cycle isn't over yet.
