I dont agree that this should be for basketball. As we can see Freshmen run college basketball. Football I understand.

Yeah, I know...and it got changed for a reason. Anybody who doesn't want to see the Melos, Ewings, Iversons, etc (could go on and on) as a Frosh in college is dumb.

Anyone want the best talent in America coming out of HS to go overseas to play a year of basketball?

The objective behind this nonsense is graduation rate...Frosh (only basketball and football) can't adapt apparently. It is beyond stupid.

Yes they would have to up it because a lot of teams play freshmen. Imagine if we couldn't play our freshmen, ND wouldn't have been able to field a team. We played what 15 Frosh because of injuries. Now Im also hearing the Freshmen that are EE won't have to follow this rule. IF they did EE would be pointless.

Well if EE's wouldn't have to follow it then they could get on the field as freshman which to me would make being an EE more enticing.

Notre Dame picked up two commitments one from Julian Love listed as a 3 star RB on ESPN, Scout rank him as a 3 star CB (#42 at his position), Rivals rank him as a 3 star CB (#30 at his position), 247 rank him as a 3 star CB (#52 at his position), the other was from John Shannon a Long Snapper.

Notre Dame also landed RB Tony Jones Jr from IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida. ESPN rank him as the 3 star unrated at the moment, 247 has him as a 3 star #25 RB and #54 player in Florida, Scout rank him as a 4 star #12 RB #1 RB in Florida and #174 Overall, Rivals rank him as a3 star #29 RB and #79 in Florida. Overall a good addition I think, he's been one of the bigger movers from the early spring circuit of recruiting camps and is going to the Opening.

IT was a good weekend for ND. I wish we were getting 4 and 5 star kids but im ok with these moves. Long snapper I don't get this one. We just singed a long snapper last year

I've read he was the best Long Snapper in the country and when he get's here the current Long Snapper will be almost finished. I guess it becomes a why wait when you can get a kid that's the best at it and has Notre Dame ties, his grandfather was an All-American Linebacker in the 50's at Notre Dame.

Yup the kid was always going to be a monster of a player. I didn't realize he took an official visit to the college I work at was kind of surprised but I do know that he was more in to the academic side than others so in that way it wasn't a shocker.

They are saying he would be a All American on both sides of the ball. He is a beast right now. Some are saying he is the best DLmen on the team. That is crazy. Im excited to watch him play.

Tommy Kraemer I bet will eventually become a 5 star...he is damn good.

BK has quite the predicament this year...looks like three players are going to have to move on elsewhere. We're currently at 88 scholarships on the roster. It is a nice problem to have (finally) given the fact we haven't played with one 85 scholly roster since BK has been here...longer than that actually, think 10 years or more.

Yeah someone will have to move on and I agree Kraemer will become a consensus 5 star one site I believe already has him as one.
