Im not sure what the fascination with David price is, we have quiet the crop of starting pitchers. I really do not like the idea of dealing such great prospects for him, i dont think hes over rated, but i dont see him any better then most of the guys we already have filling the 3 and beyond.

As was reported here, the Rays have shown interest in the Dodgers' top two position prospects, shortstop Corey Seager and outfielder Joc Pederson. Seager, one of the best prospects in baseball, is hitting .353 with 17 home runs and 66 RBI at Rancho Cucamonga, and the athletic Pederson is hitting .319 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque.

I mean what we really need is a hot bat. Some god damn hitting, so im like, uhhh ned wtf? Plus we have a surplus of outfielders, so again, wtf?

They've pretty much already said Pederson, Seager, and Urias are off limits, so don't worry about it.

Eithier for Price straight up? Or that and chip in Haren with some cash?

Price would do better than Haren I have to believe. WIth Beckett constantly, I have to believe Ned should look for a SP. We have no idea if Bills is coming back, when (or for how long Beckett will be back, or how long Moholm will be able to hold it up, either. The back end of our rotation is looking pretty shabby.

We're still top ten in runs, BA, OBP, and SLP. Their biggest problem is LOB and BA w/RISP. We need more help with Kershaw and Greinke than Ryu and a bunch of questions.

A quality SP would be nice to acquire and a guy coming off the bench who can hit and play multiple positions. Whatever happens, guys need to keep leaving it all out on the field.

Dodgers lead the National League in BA w/RISP?

Es Roberto Tiempo!!

This may mean Beckett is going to be shelved? Or Haren to the 'pen? Haren pitched last night like he knew a deal for a 5th starter was in the works.

Apparently Beckett might be done for the season with his hip injury. Haren will likely stay on as a starter.

Hernandez is 3-0 in his last 4 starts. Should perform better in Dodger Stadium compared to Philly. Could be a decent #4 or 5 guy. Looks like we should have jumped on Price, funny how Detroit was asking the Dodgers for the farm and ended up getting far less.

All teams are going to fleece the Dodgers if they can. That will be business as usual moving forward. Force the Dodgers to offer more or trade with someone else.

I just hope the Dodgers do not start bidding against themselves - Hanley is going to be an interesting off season negotiation and I'm sure his agent will do his best to play the Dodgers against every other team.

Meant to say Tampa Bay, not Detroit. But that does seem to be the case lasportzphan, everyone wants the Dodgers to overpay.

Guess it all depends on whether or not Hanley has truly turned the corner and become a leader. The negotiations should be quick if he truly wants to be a Dodger for life, and wants to remain a leader in the clubhouse.

Hernandez is an ok depth move, he starts tomorrow in Milwaukee... Beckett to the DL

Ned said today he's not done either, another pitcher is on his way, can't wait to find out who

That would be nice. Hernandez pitched pretty well tonight, but the Dodgers need another SP to make it more likely they'll be the NL entry. Not sure Hernandez is the answer and I don't put a lot of stock in Haren continuing to pitch like his last time out.
