Why do people still consider this garbage the "worldwide leader in sports"?

This is the garbage that network gives you every single day .....

For some reason they have a monopoly on sports news. Im waiting for sportshoopla to create a tv network to rival it. I would have been ok with cbs a while ago but fuck big networks.

I dont care how much you hate it, you get the most info for all sports on ESPN.

Because there really aren't other established names in sports television yet. Fox Sports 1 is still essentially getting off the ground. ESPN is essentially competing with themselves, so they know if you want to watch sports television chances are you'll be watching some programming of theirs.

As soon as FS1 starts establishing itself and launching more original programming ESPN will start to get better because they'll have to.

Agree 100%. I can't stand that network, should be called the worldwide leader in soccer. No matter what sport is being aired, they broadcast boring soccer clips non-stop.
