Why do you protest so much anytime anyone talks about bandwagon Heat fans? Doesn't bother me at all when someone talks about Cowboy bandwagon fans, but that's because I'm not one.

Might have just answered my own question.

Why do I care? Because I get tired of seeing the same lazy unoriginal comment about the fanbase I belong to.

And if you weren't a bandwagon fan, you would be ripping on those who are, just like everyone else. Bandwagon fans almost always drive the long time fans crazy.

But you aren't, so...

You are damn straight I'm not a band wagoner. You guys make no distinction between band wagon and regular fans on this site. You lump them all together to try and discredit the fan base. Every once in a while there is some bullshit weakass statement about only talking about a small number of bandwagon fans in order to cover up but it fools no one.

The Heat fans who aren't bandwagon fans don't give two shits about the obvious Heat troll threads.

Dude, you're posting in a thread called "The Heat Haters Club". Exactly what the hell did you expect to find on this thread? Everyone talking about how awesome the Heat are?

Lol yea i dont know that i was thinking. Why do we need this thread again?

This thread was originally created on the cbs boards by a Bulls fan when the big 3 came together and was one of the most popular threads over there. When many former cbs posters moved to this site, the Heat Haters Club thread was re-started over here.

A couple of Heat fans actually tried to fight it and convince posters not to hate the Heat (didn't work), a couple of other Heat fans accepted the thread for what it is and have had some fun with it, but most Heat fans just ignore it.

I take the existence of this thread as evidence of how truly great this Miami team is.

And that's exactly how I'd take it if I were a Heat fan. It means your team is relevant. You certainly don't see any Raptors or Kings hate club threads.

As a Lakers fan, I can't wait for them to start catching the crap that the Heat get on here again. It'll mean they're contenders again.

Question (not getting into bandwagon bs, just curious): I see that you're an Arizona Wildcats fan and a Arizona Cardinals fan. How come you're a Heat fan rather than a Suns fan?

Please explain this to CL.
He can't grasp the concept.

When the hate stops it means the winning also has.

 I think he understands that. He just takes more pleasure in hating the Heat than some others.

I grew up in a military family and lived all over the place. The bottom line for me is that with professional sports I follow players much more than teams, with college sports I stay loyal to 1 program.

Arizona Wildcats - Became a fan when I was in middle school living in Virginia. Was just getting into college basketball, picked them to win it all in my first ever march madness bracket, and they did. Will always, always, always, be a UofA fan. (later attended there for graduate school)

Miami Heat - Became a "fan" of the Heat the night of "the decision". Not afraid to say that. I consider myself much more a LeBron fan than a Heat fan. I was a cavs fan for 8 years, now a Heat fan, and I admit that can change easily (though I will always have a soft spot for the Cavs and the Heat)

Cardinals - Become a "fan" (again used loosely) shortly after moving to Arizona several years ago. I attended several games and grew to like the team.

That got lengthy... you asked for it :-)

So, my honestly curious question back to you or anyone? Where do I sit on the scale of bandwagon-ness?

Then that explains why he is such a miserable person.
I guess 46/48 potential playoffs wins will do that to you if your sole purpose in life is to wish against it :yahoo:

Makes sense. On the bandwagoness scale, probably about a 6 (an a scale of 1-10), you get credit for admitting the bandwagon.:suds:

Funny thing for me is that I'm supposed to be a Suns fan. I was born in Phoenix and everyone in my family except me is a Suns fan. I have a couple of Aunts who had Suns season tickets for years (until one of them passed away). As soon as I was old enough, they started taking me to Suns games in the old Madhouse on McDowell.

Problem was, the first game they took me to was vs. the Lakers. I saw Wilt and West and Baylor and was hooked. Oddly enough though, Gail Goodrich became my favorite player. My Aunts even paid for me to attend Dick Van Arsdale's Basketball Camp 2 summers in a row in an attempt to sway me. Stuck by my Lakers though.
