Yeah, pretty much agree. They seem to have the Heat's number, but having their number in the regular season vs. having it in a 7 game series are very different.

I'm not sure that I see the Nets being able to beat them, but as you say, they could definitely extend the series. That could wear on the Heat later in the playoffs.

2 1 point games and one double OT game.

It will suck ( to Heat fans) if we lose HC because of those losses, especially because the Nets weren't even playing well heading into the first 2 games.

Yeah, not sure what the deal is with that. Just one of those odd things that happens in the NBA. If the Heat end up having to go through both the Nets and Pacers, that will make getting the 3-peat even tougher.

I still see them doing well in the playoffs but they haven't been as impressive as last year.

Last year they were still in the middle of what eventually turned out to be a 27 game winning streak. Now they've lost 5 out of the last 6.

I agree with this. I think it really comes down to this being a fourth final run potentially. They are older and more injured than before.

Making 4 straight finals is extremely difficult. Those extra games take their toll. There's a reason that no team has been able to accomplish it since the 80's Celtics. That's a lot of extra wear and tear. Then, when they add in things like the Olympics and foreign born players who play for their national teams in other tournaments, they really don't get a lot of time to rest and recuperate.

With the way a couple of teams in the East have been starting to pick up their play (especially the Nets), it's looking like it may be a little tougher road to the finals for the Heat than we all thought it would be just a couple of months ago.
