I am ticked off, apparently if you fail a certain mission Saddie Adler and John’s wife dissappear for like an entire chapter. I’m extremely annoyed.

Nah man, I’m close to 10 hours in but still on chapter 2. Way too late. How do you manually save though?

It's under the "story" tab when you hit the pause menu. You can save and load files from there

Also, are you sure its because you failed said mission? I haven't failed a mission and John just isn't around camp anyway. I think I saw his wife and kid like once. It may just be they aren't around in the early part of the story

FYI:

I found this list of all the missions (spoiler free). This is helpful because the game has a POINT OF NO RETURN where you're locked out of free roam (side missions, hunting, etc) until the story is finished. This is helpful if you're like me and want to complete all the side missions first instead of going back

I get too sidetracked in this game, like I am having so much fun playing every minute of it. I have severely neglected the main story.

Lol, I opened this one door in this cabin, Grizzly right there. I kill him, start looting the place, next thing I know I'm getting attacked by three wolves. I finished up and got the hell out of there.

The launch week was even more impressive. Is there some kind of trick to get the Legendary Buck to appear? I've looked on youtube and gone to the location on the map but the thing never shows up. Are you suppose to kill the Legendary Bear first or something before you can get other animals? I didn't kill the bear when I did that mission with Hosea.

Not really, I went to his location, pushed in the R3 and L3 to find anything with his markings than go from one markings to another until I spotted him and killed him. Yeah, I killed the bear first than him, but I really don't think it matters. I killed 75% of the legendary animals thus far.

You use any bait or anything to cover your scent? I keep trying and I get nothing. I've seen almost literally every other damn animal in the game in this area except that damn buck.

I don't get this game. In GTAV you could murder three people and then drive away and 10 seconds later you were good. In this game if you stab a dog once the town suddenly has 18 sheriffs and they're all trying to kill you. It's fucking stupid. Let me dick around. I don't play these games for the story. I skip that shit every time. I want to run around, murder people, and the steal their shit. That's it. Why is that so hard?

I really like the pace in this game, nice relaxing sit back and enjoy. I'm digging the music too, it really captures a scene.

I'm not much of a gamer, usually just Madden now and again, and maybe every few years get a game like Battlefield er something. Just bought Witcher 3 a couple of weeks ago. Those types of games are fuckin' Time Machines maynge...I haven't gotten shit done in since getting the GD'd thing!?

My wife would prolly divorce my ass if I got RDR2 already..lel
