I don't want to see Gallo again until Adrian retires.

I know the guy has been getting ice cold sitting for so long, so I'm definitely willing to give him some leeway. But he is just flat-out terrible. He doesn't even remotely resemble a major league hitter. An .042 average is bordering on what an average joe off the street could hit. I saw one study which suggested that an average citizen who had played baseball at one point in his life could hit .010-.020 in the Majors just by guessing right 1 or 2 times per 100 at-bats.

I am afraid we traded the wrong prospect between Brinson and Gallo.

Until he is willing to learn he will be what he is. I don't know what else to say. If other teams saw much value in him we would've been able to trade him instead of Brinson possibly.

He may be one of many who reach their peak and never get better. He has had plenty of time and instructions I would think.

Re Gallo. Ther had to be some mental aspect to it. I think if he has a high Ops with a lot of strikeouts you may be able to live with that for a bit on this squad batting him 8th even maybe next year if he gets it straight. Have to think he will get a lot of time to reflect and do something re his holes and approach

I don't know that for sure but I do know he was involved in some of the original talks with the Brewers for Lucroy. I know he was mentioned in other trades as well but the Rangers were figuring that Gallo could replace Moreland after this season but right now Rua may be a better option. I would like for him to get it figured out but do not have a good feeling about it.

I saw that last night Boston pulled Papi after 5 innings. Now that may irritate Baltimore and Detroit fans but if I was a Boston fan it would also irritate me as I would want HF in the ALDS and knock a nemesis out of the playoffs.
