What do you think if Doug signs him to a entry level contract?

The Sharks might need a Vet back up if Niittymaki continues to have groin problems.

Might be a great pick up, plus if we can take Nitty off the Books and put him on LTR Doug would have more wiggle room to land a dman.

I don't think he's going anywhere. Emery is being signed by Anaheim to play in the AHL which is why he has to be put on waivers. Anaheim wouldn't have to subject him to waivers if they were keeping him on their NHL roster. If Emery proves himself in the A then a move may be made.

EH, Emery wouldnt survive behind the Sharks D any way, guy has suspect foot work, plays deep, and has sloppy mechanics
