Rasmus vs. LaRussa?

Any of you feckers know why these two don't get along? Or at the very least, butted heads in the past?

Was it over playing time? Manager critique?

Seems like he'd be a good, young building block for the RedBirds.....

He was getting benched in favor of Jon Jay at times and publicly complained to the media. Then Pujols called Rasmus out in the media and defended his manager.

I don't know about that. Some reporters are saying it's irreconcilable.

Oh I agree tz, hopefully LaRussa's ego kicks the kid out of town. For me though, with a kid that talented, unless he was a huge prick, I'd try to get him back in the fold and make amends.

Agreed. That, or trade him to the AL where he can become a DH. His defense is pretty bad.

I doubt his defense is that bad. Maybe he shouldn't be in CF, but I can't imagine he would be terrible in the corner OFs.


Doesn't he have a decent arm too? I wouldn't mind him in RF at all. Torres in CF has great range and it would allow Ross to move to LF where he is a better fit.

I think Ross is more of a RF than LF. His arm is stronger and more accurate than Rasmus.

I just read a scouting report that said Rasmus was clocked at 94 mph from CF. I have never seen anything that has said he has a weak arm. Are you sure about that?

I really don't think Ross has an arm at all.

I could be wrong about Rasmus' arm, haven't seen enough of it. But I do think you're dead wrong about Ross' arm. He's got a cannon and had a few assists with us I think.

He was pretty bad in 2010. Did much better in 2009.
