Just wondering if anyone besides me think Odor might have been playing above his head last year? He doesn' resemble the same guy this year. He appears to want to be a one man team. He was not going to take a walk his last AB. HR and avg lagging.

Not sure if he was/is a one-year-wonder. But he sure seems to have fallen in love with it's a HR or nothing, and his out-and-out refusal to accept a walk is unacceptable at this level.

Tell ya what, ship his ass to AAA and put Profar at 2nd and see how that works.

True. But he will take a walk, try not to be the hero every time up, and he's a much better defensive player to begin with.

And I think part of Profar's problem is, he's never been given the opportunity to play everyday.

This just isnt a .500 baseball team. 15 strikeouts is fucking garbage. Odor simply will not walk. Pitching isnt gonna get it done this year and the bats are way too inconsistent. 1-2 run offensive performances are not gonna win you many games. Napoli appears to be toast, Lucroy looks to be a having a career worst year and Beltre cant even get onto the field.

Hope JD is working on a plan to get Darvish signed and find a way to make this team really good again, but it seems like a lot of work to get done

And you didn't even touch on what a poor defensive team this is. We're avg to below avg at 1st, 2nd, SS, 3rd, catcher and LF.

And unfortunately, we've got so much money sunk into some guys who can't produce, it's a mess for today, and maybe for summer's to come.

Seriously, every time we lose it's not like we did anything wrong. It's always "we ran into a hot team or a hot pitcher today".

It's shocking to me how no one in this town asked a tough question or makes a concerning observation when it comes to this baseball team. Remember the Kela episode? No one locally had the balls to find out squat. Our info came from the national level. Absurd and shamefully unprofessionally.
