It is a great problem to have that is for sure. Remember when we were worrying about not being able to find a 5th starter to bridge the gap to Darvish?

The Rangers record is on par with everyone else in the American League except for the white sox. Which is good news because I think the Rangers will be at their best in the second half of the season.

Seems like they are a stronger second half team year in and year out. If they can go into the second half with a decent record this year, I think the West will be theirs again and have them primed for a deep October run.

They let Herrera go because of depth in the infield.

I wouldnt exactly say they "let him go". They lost him in the Rule 5 draft b/c they chose to protect then minor league gold glove winner Hanser Alberto over him.

Alfaro, Jackson, Eickhoff and Alberto were added to the 40 man that offseason.... leaving Herrera & Lamb (amongst others) vulnerable to the Rule 5 draft.

Yes, that is what I meant by "letting him go". They allowed him to be claimed by keeping him off of the 40 man. They could have protected him though without exposing those others that they added at the time. If I remember correctly they had an empty spot on the 40 or they wouldn't have been able to claim DeShields.
