Pretty sure that Yu was incredible tonight regardless of two balls that were not played. Seriously, don't be so down about it. He's ours and he's fucking amazing.

Exactly. A no hitter, or perfect game, while awesome would not have changed or added to Darvish's performance tonight. JD needs to start talking about what it might take to retain him and look to extend him before the end of next season.

On the bright side....

1) Yu got run support again.
2) 2nd straight shutout/victory
3) Offense has looked better the past 2 nights. Esp Fielder.

Andrus looked good too.

Sucks he missed the no hitter but still a masterfully pitched game. Probably the the best game he has pitched in a Ranger uniform- IMO at least.

Hopefully Odor can put that incident in file 13 and move on and play ball tomorrow. We need him too badly to have him hanging over about this game.

Hopefully EA and AB will be in his ear about "who's" fault it was in the first place.

Regardless, we won, Yu looked great and he Odor was robbed in LF too.

Great game overall, from top to bottom.

I think after this season is over we can expect JD to give Darvish a Holland/Harrison type extension. Somewhere in the range of 5 years, 60+ mil

You're joking right? Try more like 5-6 years at 140 million+.

I believe he can be a FA after 2017 if he meets all his incentives. Is this correct?

So it's certainly not too early for JD to get serious about getting him inked if possible.

I don't know. JD has proven himself to be very good at negotiating. When I said 60+, i meant that to be a minimum. I honestly have no idea how much an extension would be, but unless JD is looking to extend him 7 years, I doubt he would give him 140+ for a 5 year deal.

Was anyone watching the post game show?

That interview with EA and the dumb blonde - I believe it's Slater - was awful.

Why can't the Rangers get a decent on camera person?

Look at what Greinke and Tanka got. Look what Kershaw just got. It's going to take 100 mil minimum at 5 years, and that's with a hometown discount. If we let him get to FA we're fucked because LA, NY, or Boston will back the truck up for him.

I think this winter would be a great time to do it.

5/125, minimum, barring injury
