your going to need to do legwork to april. not last week to prove that im "always" negative. this would only be a generalization of soto. not of negativity towards everything all season, HUGE difference there pal.

Sorry add "almost" in front of always, I over-generalized, but not by much

I went back 7 games and could only find positives that were filled with caveats, "Good job.... but"

i thought you were referring to me in general with all players, if you were just reffering to soto, then yes, i have been "almost always" negative about him i admit. and he has been hitting better of late for sure. i think the thing that got my so upset with him, which i believe started in the last game of the boston series, was his inablility to make contact on numerous occasions with runners on third and less than 2 outs.

ahhhh, now i see. it's true, doesnt take much to be an upgrade over torrealba which goes to show why he hasnt been picked up yet. agreed?

No argument here, I think Soto will improve leaps and bounds once he figures out AL pitchers a little bit better

Look at all the trouble Pujols had adjusting to the AL and he's a vastly superior hitter to Soto, plus, minus the strikeouts), he was making solid contact and having nothing to show for it in a lot of ABs

You proved my point for me, almost always negative when you had a chance and almost never positive when he was doing well

yes, about soto. and unfortunately he blends in when the rest of the team is hitting lights out. agreed? hopefully he keeps hitting, because this has only been a couple games, but i promise you, if he keeps this up for a bit, i will say something positive.

That goes with the other point, there was almost nothing in any of your other posts that was positve either, and if there was, like I already said, it was a caveat, "He did good BUT...)

Example: nice job murph! saved wash from getting ripped for another questionable decision

Only thing I found that was even remotely positive in that same sample as the Soto hot "streak"

I don't either. But that was before his performance last night. It's not smart to base your opinions on one performance.

sorry, last night was the end of a long string of Feldman performances that established in my mind that he isn't worth wasting that kind of money on

sorry, last night was the end of a long string of Feldman performances that established in my mind that he isn't worth wasting that kind of money on

obviously he's not worth that. However, during his recent succes he has shown flashes of dominance against lefties by running his cutter in on the fasts and the sinker in on the righties as well. his repertoire of pitches plays well in this park and its jet stream. when he has command he is a groundball machine, but can also get K's with his curveball and splitter (which seems like a new pitch of his???). So, when he commands these pitches he is worth the money. Unfortunately, he is inconsistant and can get lit up because he leaves his pitches up and doesnt have swing and miss stuff. It's a tough call on scooter because he doesnt fit in necessarily with this teams long term plans with all the depth they have, but he can help bridge the gap and step in for injured starters. But that doesnt warrant a 9 plus million dollar insurance option.......
