The fact Saunders went 5 and didn't give up a run with the pitch count he had was certainly very surprising to me. Good job, much better than he had done up until this point so far

Nice to see the team doing well and the kids are doing a lot of the damage ( Odor, Sardinas, and Giminez specifically). Win just one game in Washington and a 7-4 road trip would probably get anyone's stamp of approval. Won't be easy, the Nats are stacking the deck against us with their pitchers. Meanwhile, expect to witness some Oakland magic in the later innings against Detroit soon. I've never seen a team as lucky as those guys.

I am a big Odor fan but I was really irritated with his first 3 at bats. He gets impatient. I will be ecstatic the next time he actually draws a walk. But he is very young and so is Sardinas and I like what I am seeing overall.
