With Stratton being a free agent, i will reserve judgment on if we should sign him until after I see what kind of relievers we successfully pursue. Since there are others just as good or better, they don't necessarily have to sign him to fix the pen.

It would have been really nice to have had Wendzel to play 3B tonight if they have to have a RH batter play there.

I think, of all the regulars at Round Rock this year, Ornelas was just about our worst hitter. I think the catchers there were the only ones worse.

I guess the plan is to not ever start Carter against a lefty, no matter how hot he was the game before.

I suppose so but he had no problem with Smith so how could Carter do any less than Smith. Just barking from Bochy disgust.

personally, I'm happy that he FINALLY pushed Lowe down further and moved Heim up. Took too long.

But it looks like they have moved Duran off 3B

He played there a week ago. He is about half way, or more, in Bochy's dog house, so I imagine that has as much to do with him not playing as not thinking he can play 3B any longer. Just my take.

I think if Bochy had more confidence in Carter, he would be in the OF and Duran would be at 3B. For some reason he would rather bat Ornelas than Carter.

Ornelas is a better infielder than Duran and Duran is the better OF of those two. I doubt that means Duran will no longer play 3B.

Nope, just like the other day it is actually Ornelas since Duran can play 3B, just like he has many other times. It is Ornelas playing instead of Carter.
