Can the Rangers continue the momentum they gained against the Cardinals, now that they are going on the road. The offense looked good at times over the weekend. Let's see if they can do that on the road.

Right now, the only starting pitcher they have settled on is tonight's starter, Tyler Mahle.

It has been reported that Evan Carter will be activated today. The Rangers are seemingly so wishy-washy in their health-related decisions that he could be activated today, or he could stay in the minors for a couple of weeks.

With the Rangers expected to activate Kumar Rocker on Wednesday, they should have five of their last six top draft picks active at the same time: Cole Winn (2018), Josh Jung (2019), Jack Leiter (2021), Rocker (2022) and Wyatt Langford (2023). The Rangers had five active last year in September, but the fifth was Justin Foscue (2020) instead of Jung.

Having cleared the biggest test to date of his elbow rehab over the weekend, Cody Bradford is ready to up the intensity and frequency when it comes to throwing breaking balls.

Bradford, who threw about six or seven breaking balls in an “up-and-down” bullpen session meant to simulate two innings of work on Saturday, will throw again on Wednesday in Tampa. He expects to both increase the effort on the breaking balls and the number he throws.

“I left the last one very excited with how my elbow felt and the lack of pain or discomfort,” Bradford said Tuesday.

If that goes well, Bradford could either face hitters in a simulated game in Minneapolis next week or throw a more rigorous bullpen session.
