Some of the personnel preferences and dislikes on Bochy's part, ranks right up there with his bullpen and lineup decisions at times. Oh well, it is what it is and I imagine it will be that way through at least most of 2024.

Agreed. I would also have Huff over Hedges for the PH possibility. We have three LH batters who have struggled against LH pitchers and the need to PH for them late in games is a reality unless we have blowouts.

There a couple of roster moves that I find ridiculous with one being Anderson. I saw that guy in person and he looked terrible.

It's definitely not just Bochy making these roster moves. But he has a part in it.

This game is absolutely winnable if our hitters would just show up and put up even a modest amount of runs.

The Rays lineup is about as non-threatening as it gets for a playoff team. Their first 4 hitters are, of course, quite good/dangerous. But after those 4, it’s a mixed bag of .200-.250 hitters. Siri in the 8-hole has power, kind of like our 8-spot hitter today Jung.

But we’re quite fortunate not having to worry about an Acuna Jr, Betts, Olson, Freeman, etc.

These two teams are somewhat similar in that they both played on fire for the first half and then faded in the second half (especially us). And they are also missing 2 of their best starting pitchers in McLanahan and Springs. A series with those 2 guys starting for them vs. DeGrom and Scherzer would have been a fun series.
