Really don't see Smith making it.Looking at how they are playing Duran and Smith, I am not sure they are in their plans.
Not the way they are playing him. Same for Duran.Really don't see Smith making it.
Although Duran had played a lot more regularly than Smith up until about 5 games ago.Not the way they are playing him. Same for Duran.
Makes you wonder why they were brought up unless a decision has already been made concerning their futureAlthough Duran had played a lot more regularly than Smith up until about 5 games ago.
have to give them a day or days off every once in a while162
-150 =12 games they woud not play. What am I missing?
where would we put that one bat?
They are flipping them and now Miller is an every day starter. But they usually pinch hit at least Smith doesLooking at how they are playing Duran and Smith, I am not sure they are in their plans.
His lack of strength is his major draw back. They are flipping them and now Miller is an every day starter. But they usually pinch hit at least Smith does
To me Smith needs to develop a little more strength or try to just be a gap hitter
I think they are auditioning Bubba but Duran tinned as a legitimate shot at LF but may need more seasoning. Smith is a guy I would see playing a utility role but be still needs more ABs for nowAll along, up until a few weeks back, Duran and Smith were considered much better prospects than Taveras or Thompson. Yet, Duran and Smith are not allowed to play, but every other day, while the other two played every day through some very rough stretches.
Now, maybe they already know what they have with Duran and Smith, and the other two are simply getting auditions. Or maybe, Duran and Smith have to prove themselves by being able to hit in part time roles and the other guys get to prove themselves in everyday roles. Or, maybe they have decided that Smith and Duran have no future here.
they need to establish a procedure where no positional prospect can be brought up to the MLB team until it is guaranteed that they will play at minimum 150 games during the season
His lack of strength is his major draw back.
He won't with Semien standing in his way at LO.To me once Smith hit the the in the park HR and his interview poo pooing it, he seemed to press. If he was mainly a singles and OBP pro he would have a spot on roster and would be a good leadoff and place setter. This is best case scenario IMO. Now he gets here I don’t know
I don’t know if he earns it at least in the eues of the mgr I think he can be there. Ultimately I think a better lead off guy would be great if they are good no matter who they are. Just my thoughtHe won't with Semien standing in his way at LO.
Totally agreethink a better lead off guy would be great if they are good no matter who they are. Just my thought
