Semien is dealing with a compressed nerve in his neck as a result of that collision with Garcia.

It is 2014 all over again.

From Evan Grant:

The Rangers may be closing in on finding some help in facing left-handed pitching.

Justin Foscue, who could play first or DH, began facing live pitching on Friday for the first time since he suffered a significant strain of his oblique muscle on April 7. Foscue, the Rangers’ first-round pick in 2020, is currently at the club’s spring training facility in Surprise, Ariz., rehabbing. Foscue is currently on the 60-day IL. He is eligible to return on Friday.

It’s likely Foscue would need a significant rehab assignment in the minors before being an option for the Rangers.

I thought when Jared Sandler mentioned the AS break as the probable time for Foscue to return, was a very pessimistic guess. It sounds lile he.could be ready before the end of this month, easily.

I wonder if he needs the IL. Wonder when Foscue is ready

Edit - saw later post. Wonder if Jung and Foscue come up at the same time

I think Evan said Semien is hitting less than .200 and has made 3 errors since the collision. That tells me he needs to go to the DL.

Too bad Huff is not our backup catcher so he could play 1B on a day where they sit Lowe. They could have sat Heim one day and sat Lowe the other day, and allowed Huff to play both days.

I was thinking of Scherzer and deGrom. deGrom may still help us but only if we stay close. I know we pay only 12.5 million this year and 10 million last year and the Mets pay the rest but right now it's 12.5 million for nothing.

Yeah, we are stuck with deGrom for a few years. We just have to hope for the best with him. Scherzer and Heaney are off the books after this year and that will help.

I was hoping a couple of our young pitchers would give us the opportunity to concentrate on relief pitching this coming offseason. We have to at least get Bradford back and probably have one minor league starter step up to be able to do that. I sure hope Bradford's back isn't career threatening.

I do wonder if we will be in on Roki Sasaki.

That would be good with me but the Rangers need to make an effort to let Huff play 1st more often at AAA. Other than 2021 it's just non-existent and I don't know why.

Bradford's injury was a bummer because he was pitching so well.

Todays lineup appears to be a sure loser. Grossman in the 3 hole is insane. Bochy needs to go on the IL also.

They wan't him to catch at AAA, so he won't get the opportunity at 1B in the minors this year.

The main obstacle is Bochy, I believe. He sees Knizner as a better option at catcher and Duran as a better option at 1B. He really has something against Huff.

Classic Robbie. Never swung the bat for a K. Yep! Bochy is nuts.

Grossman must be up there guessing what pitch was to be thrown. Take the bat off your shoulder.

Can't blame an injury on chasing that pitch Adolis.
