possibly but they could start him the 2nd game of the series, send him down after that game, bring up another reliever and then roll Lorenzen and Dunning out in the doubleheader games

You think they will bring Dunning back on three days rest after they wanted a 6 man rotation during that 17 games in a row stretch? They didn't seem to want guys to go on 4 days rest more than twice in a row.

I would think they would only resort to that in the postseason.

i miscounted on Dunning so they might have to go with a bullpen game on the 2nd game once they get passed Oakland they add Scherzer to the rotation they've got him, Gray, Dunning, Lorenzen & Heaney with Eovaldi probably returning around the 17th or 18th
