If Arihara proves his last outing wasn't a fluke I would raise him considerably. I think Howard may make a decent reliever.

I think of those top 6 guys at the top in the free agent category and the club option category the only one I am including is Leclerc. I am keeping a few open spots for free agents. Perez and/or Moore could be one of those signings.

As far as I am concerned, I think you are overvaluing where I have him on that list. The whole list is full of guys who are expendable to me.

How many slots on the 40 man should we keep open for free agent signings, including our own if we resign them. Is 5 enough? Of course, every free agent we sign doesn't necessarily have to be signed before the Rule 5 draft. We could leave 4 or 5 slots open before the draft and then free up more with a trade after the draft.

So maybe the goal is to get it down to 35 spots before considering adding prospects.
