Not what we'd hoped.....But still a one run game.

Much better than it was.

Can we just euthanize Prince Fielder right there on the field? You know, like they do at the track when horses fall and break a leg? Can we just tip his fat ass over, cover him with a tarp, and inject him with something that puts him down for the count?

Because I'm afraid that's the only way dumbass Banister is ever going to permanently keep him out of the lineup.

And that's why you don't bat a guy hitting below the Mendoza line fourth in your order. :L

I'd be much more accepting of his place in a nine man batting order, if it was at best 6th. Later would probably work better. ha

JD is going to have to Billy Beane him. I swear to God if we make the playoffs and Banister has him hitting in the middle of the order I will drive to Arlington and slash every one of Banister's tires.

Games are not much fun when your mgr. refuses to give you a fair chance to win. And now Tolleson won't help.

One of those announcers just made a terrific point about Wilhelmson.

"By declining the option to go down to RR, he gave up about $1.8 mil and he's having a very bad ML season. Not sure why you'd do this."

That's something I asked about when he was let go. I wonder why he just didn't go to RR?

I have a feeling he thinks more highly of himself than other teams do.

Can we get a manager who isn't an all-out drooling idiot? Most baseball players, with a handful of exceptions per team, are pretty stupid individuals when it comes to actual smarts. So when you hire former players to be your manager because of their "feel for the game", you're going to wind up with a rah-rah guy who struggles with common sense and basic math.

I'm not advocating for hiring some sabermetrics nerd who's never played the game, but is it asking too much to hire someone who is a bit of a balance of both? In other words, hire Cole Hamels and not Derek Holland.

Tolley has to pitch sometime.

Precisely. It's not a relief "staff" if only 4/5 guys pitch all the time.

Besides, that would very quickly prove to be not the "best of decisions" to be making due to the roasting of those guys so over-utilized.
