He is a player. Hope Gallo joins in with him and Bryant since they all played together. I think Salty is leading the AL in HRs. Now that is funny.

Gallo won't with for the average those two do, but he'll definitely out slug them. I did watch a couple of Gallo's home runs at RR recently, one of which he hit an oppo shot. Looked to me like he's shortened his swing just a bit keeping his bat in the zone longer. That's perfect for him and I hope he sticks with that because he's like Mitch. He doesn't need to pull the ball to hit it out.

This is what I'm saying when some of you guys keep talking about Derek needing to mature into a solid veteran pitcher. What do you think tonight was? He clearly didn't have his best stuff or his command. The game could've gone totally off the rails for him in the second inning, but he battled and delivered a veteran performance and finished strong with 5k's and only 2 runs.
