Pretty sure Gallo will be a Davis type guy, maybe better, and for a lot cheaper.

This is a pretty good point. And although I like Davis, it would be tough to have two guys - Davis/Gallo - in the line-up with their K ratios.

Of course, Gallo is a year away, maybe more. And we've still got an option available at 1st with MM being arb eligible next year.

Chi Chi to start Thursday, in Hammels spot.

I was wondering if they were going to give him another shot rather than going with Ren one more time.

Thanks for the update.

Think its just hopeful banter, sure would look good hitting 40 hr's a season in a Ranger uniform though
We could definitely use some more offense and especially guys who can hit for power. I don't know that they want to spend that much though.

With all this conversation re: Chris Davis, is there some thought the Rangers are interested in bringing him back? Or, are we just bantering about?
Just banter because Cruz has 34 HRs and 70 RBIs and Davis 31 HRs and 83 RBIs. I was just having a pipe dream about if those numbers held up and they were on the Rangers.

ESPN is showing the 9th inning of the Seattle/O's game right NOW.

If you're around.

Wow.....what a catch by our 2nd most "favorite" 3rd basemen to start the 9th......

6th no-no in Mariners history. This from a guy who had never thrown a complete game in the majors.

Am I missing something?

Not sure.....what are you thinking you might be missing? ha ha

And this is worth noting, all kidding aside, we're going to see the Seager catch on that foul ball in the 9th a whole lot over the next 24 hours. PLEASE NOTICE how the Seattle fans reacted to the ball, and how "NOT TO INTERFERE" with the HOME TEAM.

Guys, I find it troubling when you throw out names like Choo Hamilton Fielder Moreland and Beltre and have an offense like ours. This should be a very intimidating group in MLB. Other than Fielder there seems to be a down hill trend and if that's true, one might assume something is in the pipe to replace the loss of power bats.

Choo and Beltre have been very disappointing. We're pretty much getting what I expected from josh. Got a hunch josh is a stopgap for Mazara.

I would give Beltre the benefit of the doubt due to his thumb but not if he can't lay off of those pitches out of the strike zone. Since he is not the same hitter right now he needs to at least be selective.

I am not sure how many ABs that Gibson threw 1 pitch in the strike zone but yet drawing a walk was a difficult task. These guys are in such swing mode it is ridiculous.
