I wonder if the Rangers will pursue Tomoyuki Sugano this winter?
He was planning on coming over for this season, but due to the depressed earnings the market wasn't that great and he decided to put it off for another year. Maybe that helps the Rangers in their decision. This time we will be a year closer to contending.
It seems like the better their numbers are in Japan the better they do over here. Sugano has put up numbers much closer to Darvish's and Ohtani's numbers than to those of Arihara's. That gives me some confidence that he will do really well over here.I'm sure they'll be in the mix. I always factor in the difficulties transitioning to MLB, but it certainly can be successful.
3 years ago...That throw from Gallo last night was clocked at 97.3 MPH.
His first hit was a homerun.Speaking of prospects, apparently Seattle is debuting one tonight. MLB.com is going apeshit over it. I've never heard of the kid.

We were really spoiled with the run of position player prospects that did do well. Starting back with Gonzales, Sierra, Pudge, and then guys like Palmer, Blalock, Young, Teixeira, and Kinsler. Even earlier with Sundberg and Hargrove. I guess even Wills, O'Brien and Oddibe can be thrown onto the list as well. Odor, Davis, and Moreland had their moments, but we really quit developing well after Kinsler came up. That is something that has hopefully changed or we are going to be in for several more disappointing years.man…. I still remember all the Profar hype and people were almost just assuming that he would come in and give our team a jolt like Mike Trout did when the Angels called him up.
people could not have been more wrong on that one.
The pitching has been terrible tonight.
