Not really going to Evan for hard hitting, reliable trade info.

Wasn't Rosenthal the one who was pushing the Hamels-to-Rangers narrative last year?

Not really sure of your point. At this point Rosenthal is parroting Evan.

With Lucroy back on the market, we’ll run down all of the Sunday rumors pertaining to him in this post…

  • The Rangers are “strongly in the mix” for Lucroy, tweets Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. Grant, meanwhile, tweets that the Rangers are having “productive” trade conversations, which he presumes pertain to Lucroy.
Always presumptions this time of year

Who was that moron at ESPN who just assumed that the Astros would pass us with ease? I know it was written in the last 5 days or so. I forget.
That would be ESPN's other prized idiot David Schoenfield. The article was titled "What We Learned Last Night", or something close to that.

Schoenfield and the putz who wrote the article I just posted, a guy by the name of Scott Spratt, are both analytics and data nerds who know nothing about baseball. Spratt is actually an MIT data guy who occasionally writes for ESPN. They both prove that, while data and analytics are important in discussing baseball, having actual knowledge of the game itself is important too.

ESPN has turned into a pile of dog shit these days. They do still have Jayson Stark, Tim Kurkjian, and Buster Olney who are all fairly knowledgeable and not just barking idiots. But the rest of their baseball "minds" are idiots.

Rangers interested in Lucroy again
Update: 2:35p.m. ET

You knew it would be only a matter of time before the Rangers got re-involved in the Lucroy sweepstakes. Sure enough, that point has come, according to Ken Rosenthal. The Rangers -- who aren't covered by Lucroy's no-trade clause -- have to be viewed as the favorites, since they have both the incentive and prospect means to get a deal done -- the latter being what elevates them above the Mets.

We shall see

Is 1 PM tomorrow the deadline?

This is a leap year, and for Major League Baseball, it will mean a one-day leap in the annual non-waiver Trade Deadline.

The non-waiver Trade Deadline this season will be moved to Aug. 1 from the traditional July 31 -- which in 2016 falls on a Sunday. The deadline is 4 p.m. ET, and on July 31, there are seven games scheduled to begin between 1-1:30, five between 2-3:30 and three at 4. There are only eight games on Aug. 1, all of which are night games.

I can only hope we wouldn't be giving up any of our top 4 because it didnt appear that Cleveland was

And they're in an even weaker bargaining position now. Well just need to beat what the mets have to offer, which shouldn't be much.

They will ask for "more" from us because " it's the Rangers" and we have to have tons of great prospects to just hand out to everyone in trades. That seems to be what other GMs and front offices think and I just don't get it.

The network as a whole, regardless of sport, has gone amazingly downhill over the past few years.

They're now pushing this young lady, Sarah Spain, a graduate of Cornell, tall-nice looking-speaks well-was a softball/lacrosse player, and she's all of 23 years old. She's subbing regularly on Around-the-Horn, and PTI. And she just loves to dominate every conversation with all of her knowledge she's garnered over those 23 loooong years.

Since the Brewers were acquiring a C, I wonder if Nicholas might be part of a package
