Rangers' Prince Fielder: Surgery went as expected
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Fielder (neck) underwent surgery Friday and will be in a neck brace for the next two weeks before being re-examined, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Fielder's surgery went as expected and if everything looks right when he gets it checked out two weeks from now, he should begin rehabbing for next season in due time. The 32-year-old had one of the worst years of his career in 2016, hitting just .212/.292/.334 with eight home runs and 44 RBI, and will have a long offseason to clear his mind and recover for 2017.

I bet Roogie and Desmond end up with 30. Mazara will end up with 18 I'd bet. Beltre will get at least 20, maybe 25. Moreland will get 20 too.
I have been reading all this trade talk on here and one thing that I think JD needs to think and maybe he is already is that guys like Profar and Gallo are not just your average run of the mill guys. Teams like the White Sox may make a big deal out of Sale and Tampa Bay of their pitchers and I understand that pitching is the name of the game but a player like Profar who was the ranked #1 before his injury and is now showing that he still has it should not be undervalued. It is not like we have to feel like we need to give up Profar and 3-4 other players. Profar and no more than 2 others not named Gallo and Maz should be a big plus to a team with those types of needs.
I'm still bullish on Gallo.
Extremely risky for himRangers' Prince Fielder: Surgery went as expected

Really could not give a crap about Fielder being ready for next year. I like things much better without him being in the lineup right now.Rangers' Prince Fielder: Surgery went as expected

Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Hopes to return when first eligible Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Choo (back) hopes to come off the DL when eligible next Thursday, T,R, Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Choo will take live swings off Derek Holland on Tuesday, clearing the way for a very brief rehab assignment. Choo is expected to resume his role as Texas' leadoff hitter once healthy, and could be a nice source of production down the stretch given Texas' home-heavy finish.
I think there's a 50/50 chance he's the bad late-career version of Adam Dunn.
