Who knows if anything other than expiring contracts. Love Paul G
He is just so streaky and sometimes his bad streaks last weeks. Adilis is another streaky one.May have posted this.
If Simeon is hitting well the Rangers do well
Conversely if Simeon slumps then so do the Rangers
And then there is Boston and Seattle just behind the Yankees.Yankees have their issues as well but hopefully we get going again.
Agree. Starting pitching and relieve pitching and then a bat. Then shift the batting order around moving Semien down maybe to the middle and Lowe to the bottom thirdAnd then there is Boston and Seattle just behind the Yankees.
We had better get this ship righted right away.
Until we get back to hitting, any pitcher we get or have will not win many games.Agree. Starting pitching and relieve pitching and then a bat. Then shift the batting order around moving Semien down maybe to the middle and Lowe to the bottom third
Maybe maybe not. Would you go after bat(s) first and maybe lose out on starters and bullpenUntil we get back to hitting, any pitcher we get or have will not win many games.
Pitching wins the day. In July which as we all know we have not done well and we scored 5,3,11,6,2,6,7,3,2. To me with any kind of pitching we should win 5 of those games and we won 3.Until we get back to hitting, any pitcher we get or have will not win many games.
Absolutely not.Maybe maybe not. Would you go after bat(s) first and maybe lose out on starters and bullpen
No I'm saying we have to hit like we did no matter who pitches. That is not my call. CY and Bochy has to figure it out.Maybe maybe not. Would you go after bat(s) first and maybe lose out on starters and bullpen
They can pursue more than one at a time.Maybe maybe not. Would you go after bat(s) first and maybe lose out on starters and bullpen
You could easily say the same for hitting w/RISP and we failed miserably. Admit we need added pitching but Gray lost two well pitched games and lost due to hitting. Feel sure he was not the only one.Pitching wins the day. In July which as we all know we have not done well and we scored 5,3,11,6,2,6,7,3,2. Add pitching, Adjust the batting order until we find the right setup. No I'm saying we have to hit like we did no matter who pitches. That is not my call. CY and Bochy has to figure it out.
AgreeSome teams will be ready to sell now, some next week, and some the week after that. If the team that is willing to sell now, has a hitter that we need, then there would be nothing wrong with making that trade first.
Correct because one without the other will not prove much. Some teams will be ready to sell now, some next week, and some the week after that. If the team that is willing to sell now, has a hitter that we need, then there would be nothing wrong with making that trade first.
It goes both ways in that we scored 11 runs and lost. I understand what you are saying and I know we both agree good pitching usually trumps good hitting. I am not as concerned about our offense as our overall pitching depth. You could easily say the same for hitting w/RISP and we failed miserably. Admit we need added pitching but Gray lost two well pitched games and lost due to hitting. Feel sure he was not the only one.
The only problem with that, is that stretch started off with them going 2-6, before they had time to get worn out from the stretch. Some people have speculated that the 30 games in 31 days stretch really hurt and tired the team out, I hope that is the case because the all star break should be the cure for that.
Collapsing in the last game in Boston and then getting totally raped by the Washington nationals was shocking. The only problem with that, is that stretch started off with them going 2-6, before they had time to get worn out from the stretch.
It probably contributed later on.
The losing actually started the day before their last day off prior to when that long stretch started. That was the game Bochy rested a lot of guys to prepare for the Rays series.
