I think of it as a wash. Texas did need a 6 run inning to win this one. They needed a 9 run inning to win the night before. So two of three with a chance for another isn't bad.

Now if we can get Mother Nature to hold off until later in the afternoon, after we get our win, then all will be good.

But I just checked weather.com and the weather looks unpleasant for most of the day.

It has been raining like crazy here so I guess we will be getting our first day off.

When I get to watch the whole game I hard ever tune into the post game show. I wonder how many other poeple do the same.
I never watch it. If I was to have anything to do with a Ranger post game it would be on the radio. If I need to see any action I missed I log onto the internet with me usually going to the Ranger website.

I'm approximately 60 miles east of Arlington and we haven't gotten a drop yet. But obviously, it's coming and from the forecast, we're going to get rain for days.

Shoot, we may get 3/4 days in a row off.

This from ESPN's Cliff Corcoran:

As for Gallo and Profar, with Nomar Mazara apparently already capable of filling the outfield corner not occupied by Shin-Soo Choo, who is signed through 2020, their best hope to remain in the organization would appear to be for Gallo to shift to first base, where Mitch Moreland is in his walk year, and for Profar to focus on becoming a super utility player with the ability to play centerfield. Both seem likely to draw heavy trade interest moving forward.

Profar is an interesting case because utilizing him as a super utility player would be a waste imo. I still think we'd be best off trading Elvis and letting Profar play ss, but I can them holding onto Elvis too. In which case, he could bring something really nice in return.

From what I am seeing the Astro series is in jeopardy.

At least the first 2 games....Man, this front looks huge and the percentages for rain are 80% plus for the next 3 days.

Oh well, like rev said, we needed a day off. Everyone but Rua of course.

Oklahoma and Texas should never complain about rain.

Two weeks in I gotta give Lino some love. I don't know if his hitting pace is sustainable, but he's shown the ability to work counts and get some hits now. That's pretty big for a guy like him. When he gets on base he's always a threat to score and I liked that about him last year, but I was really down on his bat.

Take it back. Or do I need to remind you about the last 6 years?

Should I remind you of how many people lost their lives last year? Or the hundreds of millions of dollars lost?

did some good things come outta the massive amount of rain we got? Sure. But I'm sure glad I didn't lose my cattle, my home, or worse yet, a loved one in those floods.

Just got back from making a short trip and man the wind is howling along with this rain.

And the rain itself is really cold.

Thank you. We were one of those who lost a son due to flood waters.
