Fuck it. Let's sweep em tomorrow and knock Greinke out of the game early.
Offense is gonna need to do it, because not sure that Raunado can offer. They don't want Colby batting because they are worried about his hip...

On paper this doesn’t look good. But neither did last night's so you never know. Specially the way things have been working out for us lately.

I just heard on 105.3 some scuttlebutt regarding some people calling for Gallo to be in the AS game HR derby.

To which I say, not no, but hell no.

Last night's Ranger win was Kershaw's first, inter-league loss in 4 years.

And Gallo's homer was the second longest he's ever given up.

Reportedly, what he was so upset about wasn't Gallo's homer, but the fact he gave up a single to Wandy Rodriquez.

Which promptly turned into two runs.

Wow. I didn't realize the Dodgers asked the umpire to check Kela's sleeve for something dirty. When they didn't find anything kela stayed in the game. He promptly threw up and in twice to Puig.

This kid's got some spunk to his game. I love it. Plus, he's got some talent to back it up too.

Gallo's current numbers projected out over 162 games

I'd take all all day, every day, and twice on Sundays. Would prefer slightly more walks and slightly less strikeouts, which I think will happen. His eye at the plate has improved drastically the last week or so.

Yep.....Knew I was right all along in not wanting to call him up to begin with. :L

This being right all the time is a heavy burden guys, I gotta tell ya.

It's still a very small sample size, but so far I appear to have been wrong as well. Except that his strikeouts are still sky high, but we all knew they would be.

93 walks would've ranked 5th in the league last year, can't really say much about that, the strikeouts agreed 100% though

I still don't think anyone was wrong to question the move, its still a questionable move here in about 2 weeks when he's a man without a position and he now has an accelerated arbitration clock

But as far as his play goes, he certainly has shown he belongs, he hasn't been fazed at all which was one of my other worries

Hopefully at some point we can trade Choo, I don't care what we get for him, which probably won't be much but it would be nice to clear a spot for him and get rid of a bulk of his salary going forward

True. So, cut the strikeouts down a bit, which I think he will and I am happy as a clam. Except there's also no way he only hits 12 doubles over 162 games.

Honest to goodness, the thing which has not just surprised me, but shocked me, is his discipline at the plate.

I've got no problem with the K's really. Like you said, we knew this was part of the package. So be it.

You take his K's vs the power/walk potential and what we've got is a monster.

Additionally, he really seems to be a good fella, excellent clubhouse presence.
