It's not an exaggeration. He was the 4th outfielder for the Dodgers the last 2 years. He would sit for multiple games at a time. The Dodgers have been trying to unload him for the last 3 years, essentially willing to give him away to anyone who will take on his contract and .250 bat, and not one team would take him. He had one big year a while back which skewed his career average. Look at his numbers over the last 3 seasons.

Will, I'm aware of his contract and his situation. I know he's filling in for an injured Crawford. You are trying to prove a point that I'm not arguing with you about. Again, all I originally said is that he was having a good year.

BTW.
He had a good year in 2012. .284/351/.460. 20 HR's, 36 2B's, 89 RBI's. I'd say that's pretty damn good. 2013 wasn't too bad either. He's had more than 1 good year. You might want to look again. His AVG and OBP are similar throughout his career.

Wow...this team is a hard one to peg. Keep it rolling. Taking 3 from the Dodgers is impressive as hell guys.

Somehow they keep winning, and just when you think someone is going to shit, they do something big

And kudos, unfortunate for him, to Blanks for having Fielder back in there.

We must have different definitions of "good" I guess. Hitting .270 with 12 HR is not good for an outfielder. 20 HR is nothing special either. Maybe back in 1987 those numbers were good for an outfielder. Today, most OF hit 15-20 HR in their sleep. I don't consider that good. Hitting .290 and above is good. Hitting 25+ HR is good. A .270 hitter average and 15-20 HR is David Murphy country. It's ok, but certainly not for what they pay him or how good he was supposed to be. Thus my overrated comment.

Was not hearing from many on here the first 5 innings or so. But I am sure you saw Gallo's HR by replay. It was another monster. And I have never seen Kershaw so frustrated.

I just don't understand why Telis hasn't been called up.

Speaking of being called up, Patton now has 9 saves and a 0.86 ERA with a WHIP of 1.00
Claudio (while not my favorite) keeps getting the job done. He now has a 1.08 ERA and a WHIP of 0.96. There's really no doubt he is better than Freeman.

I don't care what he's hitting, the way our pitching staff is responding to both of these catchers in their respective roles, the Rangers aren't interesting in upsetting the chemistry, is my best guess.

Gotta love this attitude don't ya?

“People put so much emphasis on closing (compared to) the eighth inning,” Kela said. “What’s the difference? You’re supposed to be a closer every inning. I don’t think it matters if it’s the fifth inning or the ninth inning. Your job is to get outs.”
