.277 isn't exactly tearing it up, plus it's the best he's done in quite some time. Then look at his bloated salary. He's paid like an All-Star and isn't even good enough to be an everyday player. Overrated.

His numbers this year are basically right on with his 162 game averages for his career. To say he's not an everyday player might be a little exaggeration. I don't like the guy or care either way. I just said he is having a good year.....which he is.

Baseball ref has it at .279. Probably didn't update after the DP he hit into.

It's not an exaggeration. He was the 4th outfielder for the Dodgers the last 2 years. He would sit for multiple games at a time. The Dodgers have been trying to unload him for the last 3 years, essentially willing to give him away to anyone who will take on his contract and .250 bat, and not one team would take him. He had one big year a while back which skewed his career average. Look at his numbers over the last 3 seasons.
