This just crossed my mind, if the A's were doing what we're doing, with what we're doing it with, we'd be heaping a mountain of manure on them.
That's about as piss-poor as it gets.
agreed.....hope we think like the big boys and play ONE season at a time. With you on that PDay. For so many years it was wait until next year and I do not ever want to get back into that mode again. I want to win now and we can now without selling the farm.
That coach needs to come out the next game to do the lineup card at the start with these biggest and baddest coke bottle glasses and a walking cane tapping the ground as we walks up to home plate and then stand and look elsewhere like he is talking to them. And then tell them he has been thinking about changing his profession to one of being an umpire.
Has Holland ever had a complete healthy year?

Has Holland ever had a complete healthy year? And how many? He'd be the one I'd most be worried about going into any year of having a set rotation. And he's about what 28 now, 29?
Just throwing a few cents in.
I'm fine with that provided it doesn't involve sacrificing the future.
Year before last (2013) he threw 213 innings in 33 starts and 2011 (198 in 32 starts) in fact minus a short term injury in 2012 (missed about 4-5 starts), I don't think he's really been hurt until the last 2
His first 2 years were yo-yo'd beetween AAA and the majors
It wasn't even that hot. What a pussy.
The guy was born in Midland for crying out loud.
And every city east of the Mississippi River has a humidity problem we only occasionally deal with in Arlington.
The guy was born in Midland for crying out loud.
He also played his high school baseball in the much cooler climate of... Stillwater, OK.
There were some next years back in the 90s and back in 2009 that turned out just fine. Right now next year and the years after look just fine.NO...and being a fan since 72 should tell you as much.
next year has always been just that
No team wants excess starters when they are short in other areas. When that is the case they usually look to trade excess for what they lack. The key is to be able to ascertain whether you have excess or not. That is why they pay JD the big bucks and that is why forums like this one is provided for us to speculate about it.that's next year....so much happens between now and then. Excess starting pitching is a problem all teams would love to have.
