Matt Bush struck out the side last night and has not given up a run in 13.2 innings. I wonder what we plan on doing with him?

It seems like this year that those veterans they stash in the minors are only there for extreme emergencies. I guess that's because 40-man spots are so much more valuable now.

Acuna is going to be a good player. I saw where a couple of local guys mentioned on Twitter, that they weren't sure Acuna could start in the big leagues. I never saw anyone, locally, write that before the trade. It is possible to like the trade and think Acuna will be a really good player. I am not sure why some thought they had to change their viewpoint just because we traded him.

They would be options at 2B, SS & DH (Foscue) and all 3 OF positions (JP) better options than Smith, Grossman & probably Duran right now.

There was a time when Smith and Duran were doing great in AAA too.

It’s been done multiple times and maybe Smith and Duran getting max playing time at AAA maybe get their heads straight. Or we can sit here daily complaining about Duran being useless at the plate. And Smith is good step in in the field but for the most part useless at the plate

You do realize that Josh Smith, after a terrible April, has hit pretty good. His OPS since then is .809.

No I could see both staying with the team and still bring up Foscue and Martinez by dfa’ing Miller and Grossman

Smith, Miller, and Grossman are not lineup regulars. They're bench players. They're not expected to put up great numbers. They're there to give the starters a break. Replacing them with AAA players because they're not putting up great numbers seems counter-productive.

As for Duran, well, the Rangers are going to have to figure out what to do with him.
