Here's the one thing Rangers GM Jon Daniels absolutely, positively must get right in this year's MLB draft
Sherrington wants them to take Josh Jung and I see nothing wrong with that idea.
We have made some bad decisions as well. Our whole draft philosophy may need to be questioned.Just don’t get some scrub like Dillon Tate who will never amount to anything.
It seems like we always get screwed on the draft order and the really good players go 1 or 2 picks before it’s our turn tho.

The Yankees have gotten Tate turned around. Last year he was one of there top 30 prospects. The Rangers just have problems developing pitching.Just don’t get some scrub like Dillon Tate who will never amount to anything.

That is a big "other than" that you led off with. That by itself is a pretty big flaw. It is not that they shouldn't draft HS pitchers, but they have over-relied on them to me.Other than picking HS pitchers, is not sure where the philosophy has been flawed. Please elaborate. To me it has been more of pitcher development. From what I understand the Rangers lead the majors in drafted players making it up regardless of team. Please correct if I am mistaken
Where he was drafted he should be in a team"s top 2 or 3 prospects. The Yankees have gotten Tate turned around. Last year he was one of there top 30 prospects. The Rangers just have problems developing pitching.

He's currently the #17 prospect in the Orioles organization, and sporting a 5.68 ERA in AA
Would not take much to help this BP so hope he does.
