No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
Taveras has been released - outright waivers
It may work out exactly like the scenario I presented. The best I can tell, if Evan Carter spends 40 days of the Rangers regular season in the minors, they can gain an extra year of control over him. It is usually 16 days, but Evan got 24 days credited to him at the end of 2023. I believe that means after 40 days of the regular season he would have his service time delayed enough to keep him under control another year.
The Rangers don't typically worry about such things, but Carter has already had a year of control wasted with him hurt almost the entire year. If they are planning on that then the 40 days are up on May 5. If they bring him up right after that date we will know why. Let's see if they activate him on May 6.
I would think so.Do you think Harris will stay as 4th OF when Carter returns?
If Carter comes back. I would play him against left handed pitchers only.Well it's a start. Semien and Pederson aren't going anywhere. The real question is what to do with Adolis Garcia. I know he will not be a Ranger next season...but he is still regressing and will be an anchor in this lineup all year.
Looks like your going to spot on.It may work out exactly like the scenario I presented.
Well they could not trade him so wonder if we eat half and grab a playerLet's hope someone claims Leody on waivers and takes on his salary.
Yeah, that's what I am thinking, but there is a chance someone claims him. Maybe even a team that wants to play him, and see if they can flip him at the deadline..Well they could not trade him so wonder if we eat half and grab a player
