When Jung gets back, I would like to see them put him LF and Langford in CF.
Absolutely and see Smith leading off if Semian continues to struggle. Somehow I think Semian will get a lot of leeway before he is moved out of the lead off spot

I really don’t see it happening. He was terrible last season and they refused to move him. It’s like Bochy is afraid he will offend if he moves him.

The Spartanburgers won their first ever ballgame in 12 innings.

Davalillo had a good outing.

I noticed Jung’s younger brother is playing for Toledo Mud hens.
He’s hitting .375

Inexcusable how he’s been kept buried in the minors all these years.
This past offseason would have been the perfect opportunity to give him a chance. Either Pederson or Burger could have been substituted for a closer. I think a closer and either Burger or Pederson along with Crim would have been a better option than both of Pederson and Burger with neither Crim nor a closer.

The first part is from Jared Sandler and the second part is my comment.

Through deGrom's first 10 career starts with the Rangers, he registered 12.72 K/9, the highest ever by a Rangers pitcher through his first 10 starts with the team.

12.72 - Jacob deGrom
11.23 - Nolan Ryan

The telling thing in comparing the first ten starts of each is how many innings each pitched, how long it took each to reach ten atarts, & how many total Ks each had. Nolan took 53 days. He pitched 71.1 innings & had 89 Ks. DeGrom took exactly 2 years with 46 innings and 65 Ks.

I don't have a problem with what the Rangers did in the offseason. I can use hindsight and say now what they should or could have done. And I am not busting you on this because we all do it including myself.

Yeah I don't like to use hindsight, myself. That's why when I mention how good Slaten has been since he was taken in Rule 5, I always try to mention that I don't blame the Rangers, because I never said they should protect him.

Now, when Crim and/or Huff goes away and succeeds somewhere else, I will mention that I blame the Rangers. Lol

Semien had a 10 pitch AB last night and got a single. Tonight he took 4 pitches and then hit a HR. I hope he keeps being patient at the plate.

It appears the Rangers have taken some of my advice and given Evan Carter and few days off. From what I understand he is supposed to play tomorrow.

Degrom is who he is and that is fine. I am tired of the media going on and on about how great he is, though. After they fawned all over him in spring training I thought he was going to get off to a fantastic start.

He is a really good pitcher, but not who the media portrays him to be.
