Perhaps the most important thing the rest of the way is seeing how guys like Bradford and Leiter perform to finish out the regular season.
Would be huge if they could both be viewed as players to build around, obviously.
I think Bradford is already a lock to be a starter. But I definitely agree on Leiter. We don't know what we have with him at this point.

Agree on both but think Lieter will shake the nerves an settle down.

What about Crim? IMO he needs an opportunity at the big team
I guess we will see if he comes up when they can add another position player, tomorrow.

And after another dominant performance, Cody Bradford's numbers as a starter this year:
Over 54 innings he has a 2.50 ERA along with a 0.81 WHIP, a .187 opponent batting average, and a 50/7 strikeouts to walk ratio.
At least for now, Bradford is performing like a bonafide Ace.

And yet, I read some in the national and local media, and some fans don't yet see him as member of the rotation for next year. So many over-emphasize velocity that they tend to ignore other aspects of pitching.

From The Prospect Times:

I'm late on this but Ryan Lobus pitched 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen for the Crawdads last night.

Over his last 4 appearances:

- 14.1 IP
- 2 R (1.26 ERA)
- 7 H
- 3 BB
- 29 SO
- .146 BAA

For the season he has 124 strikeouts in 88.1 innings.

Crim and Harris both played for Round Rock Saturday night so neither of them appear to be coming up tomorrow. Crim had 2 hits.

Ornelas was pinch hit for in the 7th. Hopefully he isn't coming up.

Pennington is the likely starting pitcher for Sunday's game.

I guess that's why Chase Anderson was brought up, to pitch in a bullpen game. He will probably go back down right after the game.

So rosters expand and we will see Leiter added.

Have to think one more position player but since Scherzer is intent on pitching again this year that might mean no Crim unless someone loses a roster spot.

Harris might be hurt so wonder if it is Ornelas

Oh well

Classy interview by Cody.
Balance in a SP rotation is important

I can kind of live with Bochy pitching decisions but for the position players. IMO he has vision for the future
But what do I know

I am in the midst of wrapping my head about how Bochy manages. His style and strengths and weaknesses

My gut tells me he is a good playoff manager
Brings stability and slows the heart down
He plays the odds and is a risk avoider.
Letting Sborz close out the WS was brilliant ans the timing was perfect not to alienate
Many said LeClerc deserved but not me
I just wanted to win it

Now in a retool year which this is Bochy moves are counter productive especially with position players. Why Foscue and Duran are not in the lineup is beyond me.
Maybe he was waiting for September so I will continue to watch

Also guys like Marcus and Heim and Adolis obviously need rest. Leody needs to play half of the games. Lowe needs half of his games off
Glad they sent Dunning down but there are guys that might need an Il stint
Don’t get it

2023 gave us our beloved WS but it sure looks like it took a toll

There is a serious over-emphasize on velocity, for sure. When a guy can command his pitches as well as Bradford is, he doesn't have to be a flamethrower. Is it nice to have? Sure. But what Bradford is doing flies in the face of modern thought on pitching and shows that the old school way of command over velocity can still dominate.

Ornelas amd Owen White are brought up.

I am not sure what else Crim could do.

Ornelas is simply in the way in this organization. Him being placed on the 40-man was a head scratcher two years ago, and him remaining there is, as well.
