Perez was bad, hitters w/RISP were bad, bullpen was bad. They deserved that loss.

He was successful last year as a long man, but for some reason they took him out of that role.
Oh so it is not his fault but mgt. Seriously?

That’s 2 games on this road trip that the bullpen has given away. One against the Angels and this one.

El Bombi got it done. The bad send by Beasley left a terrible taste in my mouth
Not getting good contact with no outs. Is not good.

Bubba is likely headed to AAA. Open roster spot

And the rest of the division won tonight.
Really does not matter. Don’t want to sneak in
We need pitchers go after hitters and not walk them we don’t need pitches right down Broadway
We need marginal players to make contact when needed. Huff and Bubba blew their chances

We have made a lot of progress but this is in no means a finished product

There is no reason to have Grossman at 2. It is an absurdly stupid decision to hit him there.

Bring back Seager tomorrow. Bad strikeout by Robbie. Robbie should DH and that is it

The mess that is the bullpen is management's fault, in more ways than this.
Overall of course we should have got a closer but Burke made those pitches. You seem to excuse him l. I don’t

I am not talking about any way other than this
Perez looked bad, Sborz wad ok until a man got on, JHern nibbled, Hernandez could not find the zone I guess did to bad landing zone.
But Burke stank it up. He should be going into this season a trusted piece Mgt for that right but he blew it

Why do you give him a pass and just blame mgt.
we have to have mental toughness and not blame shift for this specific circumstance

Meanwhile, there were 6 relievers used between Round Rock and Frisco tonight. None of the 6 did their job. Latz was the only one who wasn't scored on and the only batter he faced singled in an inherited runner. It seems to be an organization-wide problem.

I am not excusing him, but it makes no sense to claim he is too valuable in his role to go back to being a starter and then change his role simply because management failed to pick up late inning guys this past winter. They gambled that he would he just as successful in a different role and that was a bad gamble.

If they let King close tomorrow and he blows it, I am going to fault management again. If they bring up Hearn and put him in a similar position, I will blame management again.

Put a real set up man and a real closer in place and I will blame those guys when they mess up.

They need the mental toughness, not me. I can blame whoever, but the players need to blame themselves.

Which teams might be sellers at Trade Deadline?

A's, cards, Giants, Nats, Reds, Rockies, Royals, White Sox

Looking at those teams on the list some Closers that may be worth kicking the tires on are:
(2.75 yrs) Ryan Helsley
(4.75 yrs) Camilo Doval
(4.75 yrs) Alexis Diaz
(1.5 yrs) Scott Barlow

In parenthesis is amount of team control left.

As you can see a couple of them are going to cost you a healthy price (Doval and Diaz) but there also about a dozen middle inning relievers that probably can be had for a decent price...
