Looking at the large market of FA OF candidates this off season CWS are going to have problems offloading him.

48 hours after he has been claimed is what I have read. So we should know in the next couple of days. Unless they significantly lower there price though... I doubt anything happens. It would be great if JD called the Sox GM bluff though and we got him for pretty much just taking over his salary.

Great thinking considering Kirkman still has great stuff and a change of scenery could do wonders for him and finally reach is potential and figure it out.

Keep in mind, alot of the guys you all are listing - have to clear waivers themselves. (if on the 40 man).

Which, seeing as how its the White Sox.... they would only have to get past Houston... (before Chicago could claim them).

Yeah I see where he got shelled big time last nite in his start at RR... 11 ER's in just 3.1 IN. He also gave up 2HR's as well. That performance certainly did not help his cause.

No biggie just move on Rangers. White Sox want significantly more than what Rangers want to give. No harm no foul. Other cast off high payroll possibilities will be coming out for consideration in the near future (or not) and Rangers will try to get any that make sense to JD. If the Rangers add anyone then fine but the Rangers chances look pretty darn good even without anyone being added. The line up changes and skill sets of this group of players seems to be gelling at just the right time. Murphy may wake up yet but even if he remains largely useless the rest of the season the Rangers look like they are on to something with this running offense and strong pitching. The offensive style the Rangers are playing is the exact way Wash has always preferred to play and it may allow him to be a better manager with fewer head scratching decisions. Multiple folks have properly said that Rios will not carry this team and I think they are right. He would be an upgrade over Murphy in the running offense style of play but not getting him is nothing to sweat.
