Absolutely, I hate the idea of a designated closer. He sits for over a week with hardly any work because we weren't winning...this is what we get as a result. This would have been an unmitigated disaster had we blown this game...

Soria didn't look sharp, Sardinas makes an error on pretty simple play. Twins get 3 ER and the Rangers were lucky Dozier gave them an out flailing at pitches and getting struck out with 1 out and runner at 3rd. Suzuki strands the tying runner at 3rd with a groundout to Sardi to end it. Could have easily gone the other way at the end.

The best last night from what I could see was the pitching line by Tepesch. Would like to see Rios and Odor get going again. Oh yes, and how well Choo did back in the leadoff spot. Leave that alone.

Problem with Choo in leadoff is he was getting on but no one was driving him in, but in the 3 hole nobody was getting on at all

Tep was definitely had his good command last night mixing in curveball and threw several solid changeups, the changeup is the key to his success, he should be made to throw it at least once an inning

I agree 100% on Choo leading off and it is true there was no one to really drive him in at the 3 hole. Otherwise we had no real leadoff hitter and no one still in the 3 hole to drive someone in.

Read that RW does not like to change where guys hit in the order and wants the player to figure it out. Not sure that I can agree with a philosophy that hamstrings a team for a period of time waiting for a guy to figure it out.
