Why on earth would he be looking for a 1st pitch fb in that situation?

It's the same situation with Rua vs Moreland, that it was earlier with him vs Fielder. Except it's worse.

Why not let Rua play more when he probably is part of our long term future and we're all but positive Mitch is done in Arlington after this season?

Cause they aren't swinging at strikes and aren't making him throw strikes with the fastball, just chasing sliders not in the zone

From what our Crackerjack announcing duo was saying earlier, when he's on he's really tough. But he'll have games where he gives up 4/5 runs in 3/4 innings and be gone. That's why his ERA is so high.
